Simbahayan 400: Tomasino Para sa Simbahan, Tahanan at Bayan

Simbahayan 400: Tomasino Para sa Simbahan, Tahanan at Bayan is the centerpiece project of the University of Santo Tomas Quadricentennial Anniversary. It is a holistic community development project of the Thomasian community that encapsulates the 400 activities of the University for the building of the Church, the home and the nation.

The major participants in this project are the Thomasian alumni who are willing to help the University carry out its mission of building the Church, the home and the nation. The participation of the students, faculty members, support staff and administrators in the program is also vital.

Project Objectives:

Simbahayan 400 seeks to:

  1. celebrate, renew and intensify the University’s commitment to the call of the church to serve the marginalized communities;
  2. launch 400 community development projects for the marginalized groups all over the country;
  3. contribute to the task of building the nation and the Catholic Church by providing essential services to the marginalized communities through the alumni in their respective areas;
  4. engage the active participation and harness the vast potentials of the alumni of the University in the various fields of specialization;
  5. enlist the participation of various agencies and organizations involved in the community development services for the poor and the marginalized;
