Engr. Norberto A. Viera

Engr. Viera worked his way up the corporate ladder to become the first local President of all Texas Instruments sites worldwide. Immediately after earning his B.S. ECE degree, he worked as product engineer of the said company. Before he assumed the position of President and Managing Director, he was the Senior Engineering Supervisor and the Operations Manager.

As the director of the Semiconductor and Electronics Industry Foundation (Phils.) and as a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, Inc., he is actively involved in the business community. He has also been TIPFs prime mover in launching special community programs and projects aimed at improving the quality of life in the community in which they operate, sustaining the environment and diffusing the quality culture of TIPI. Also worth mentioning is his commitment to enhance the educational system by his continuous support to the academe in technical programs. As such, he was conferred an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humanities by the University of Baguio.
